These courses are designed to give our students the opportunity to learn and develop their cooking skills. 


We introduce our Grade 8s to the basics of cooking and food safety with recipes that are both simple and delicious. At the Grade 10 level, we continue with their learning by focusing on different, more complex techniques to encourage their self confidence in both cooking and baking. Our Senior Foods course is an intense, full year, cooking experience. We delve into the realm of different cultural dishes, meal planning and sophisticated recipes which require focus and the use of specific and more refined skills. Students are encouraged to use their creativity and imagination with plating and project design. 


We feel that this program truly provides our students with a very valuable life skill that will enable them to lead a healthy and nutritious lifestyle in the future.
