Career Education
A. Mason

Career Education at Notre Dame helps students discover their strengths, explore their interests, and consider who they want to become. Guided by our school motto, Know, Love, Serve, students learn how their values, faith, and talents can shape their choices and contributions to the community.
From Grades 8–12, students build skills in goal setting, decision making, collaboration, and planning for the future. They explore career possibilities, education and training pathways, workplace readiness, financial literacy, and personal well-being. Students use myBlueprint to research options, develop plans, and create portfolios that document their learning and growth.
Career-Life Education (CLE) and Career-Life Connections (CLC) support students as they prepare for life beyond secondary school. In CLC, students complete at least 30 hours of career-life exploration, draw on guidance from teachers and other supportive people, and develop a capstone project connected to their interests. The capstone gives students an opportunity to explore a meaningful question or goal, reflect on their learning, and share their accomplishments.
Throughout the program, students learn that plans can change as they gain experience and discover new opportunities. Our goal is to help them make informed choices, build supportive relationships, and approach their next steps with confidence and a sense of purpose.
